Step 1: Tell us about your home and vehicle
Use the quote form or call (443) 364-3676. We’ll ask about your address, your panel size if you know it, where you park, and the EV you drive or plan to buy. Five minutes, and you talk to someone who actually does this work in Calvert County.
Step 2: Free panel and site assessment
Photos are often enough; for some homes we do a short on-site visit. We check your panel’s capacity against the new circuit’s load, look at the wire run from panel to parking spot, and note anything unusual, like a detached garage or an older subpanel.
Step 3: A written quote, with the reasoning shown
If your panel has room, the quote reflects a standard circuit and charger install. If it doesn’t, we explain exactly why a service upgrade is needed and price that work separately, so you’re never told one number and billed another.
Step 4: Permit and inspection
Maryland requires this work to be done by a licensed Master or Journeyman electrician under the 2023 National Electrical Code, and Calvert County requires a permit for the circuit. We pull the permit, schedule the county inspection, and handle the paperwork so you don’t have to learn the process yourself.
Step 5: The Maryland EVSE rebate
Maryland’s residential EVSE rebate covers up to $700, or half the installed cost, and a new funding cycle opened July 1, 2026 after the prior year’s budget ran out early. We’ll tell you whether your install qualifies and what documentation the application needs.
Step 6: Install day
Once the permit is approved, the electrical work itself is usually a single visit. We test the charger before we leave and walk you through using it.
